DRY SHAMPOO How, When and Why to use it

Updated: Mar 31, 2020

DRY SHAMPOO ⠀

Personally when it comes to washing my own hair it feels like a chore. Most of you can probably relate. The washing, deep treatments, blowout and style take up so much time and in our busy schedules we don’t have time for that as much as we might like.⠀

I know you’re probably reading this going “Yes, I hate washing my hair as often as I do but my hair gets so oily that I HAVE to wash my hair every day to every other day” ⠀

Do you want to know why your hair gets oily so fast? Because YOUR’E WASHING IT more than it should be. Those oils are actually really good for your scalp and your hair. I’m not saying you should never wash your hair again but give it time to absorb those oils. Your hair feels like it has to over produce the oils to help the hair get the nourishment it needs. ⠀

Going longer between washes may seem impossible but if you can break away from that habit, your hair will adjust and it will take longer for it to build up that oil. ⠀

Start by going an extra day between each week and slowly start building your way up. Use Dry shampoo to allow your hair to go another day or so between washes.

Apply dry shampoo onto your part and around your front hairline, allow it to set on for about minutes before rubbing it in. This will allow it to fully absorb the oils and give you the best result.
