How to get a PERFECT BLOWOUT

It's all in the BLOWDRY.

Blow drying is time consuming (believe me I get it) BUT it is one of the key parts in how your hair will look, feel and maintain it's style. Personally I feel that when my hair is properly blow dried it feels so much better than if I were to just let it air dry. So how do you get that PERFECT blowout?

Leave in products: using a leave in conditioner and an oil is mandatory for me just because I love soft hair.

Tools: Blow dryer with concentrator, round brush, paddle brush and a sectioning clip.

How to: you will want to section your hair into 3 sections (give or take depending on your thickness) prior to blow drying each section you will apply both leave in and oil onto each section separately to ensure that each section of hair is getting the benefits.

Always blow dry on the medium setting. First power dry the section using your fingers (hair when it is super wet is very fragile and you shouldn't be brushing it tons) power dry until it is about 70% dry and then transition into the paddle brush and blow dry with the concentrator going with the direction of the hair (so it doesn't rough up the cuticle). Dry with paddle brush until about 85% dry.

Pull out round brush (the bigger the round brush the straighter you can get the hair) I use about a 1 3/4 inch round brush. The more bristles the brush has the straighter and less frizzy you will be able to get the hair. Round brush each section with once again the concentrator moving with the direction of the hair.

Blow drying your hair like this will smooth down the cuticles and provide a much more sleek and soft look. Then straightening afterwards will be limited if not eliminated and since it was blown out correctly, your hair will maintain your style much better.
